Compared to last week: Slaughter cows were 3.00-4.00 higher. Slaughter
bulls were steady. Feeder steers and heifers under 450 lbs were steady, over
450 lbs 2.00-3.00 lower.
Supply included 580 feeder calves; 318 feeder yearlings; 43 replacement
cows; 99 slaughter cows; 9 slaughter bulls; and 2 replacement bulls. Feeder
supply consisted of about 40 percent English breed or English crosses; 30
percent Exotic breed or Exotic crosses; 30 percent Brahma and Brahma crosses;
and 0 percent Holsteins and other diary breeds. Feeder supply about 55 percent
steers and bulls with 45 percent heifers. Prices follow with weighted average
price in parenthesis.
