Receipts: 872 Last Week: 375 Year Ago: 864
Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Feeder
steers were uneven; calves under 450 lbs were 5.00-7.00 lower with calves over
450 lbs 4.00-7.00 higher. Feeder heifers were 2.00-8.00 higher.
Supply included 400 feeder calves; 353 feeder yearlings; 45 replacement
cows; 65 slaughter cows; 6 slaughter bulls; and 3 replacement bulls. Feeder
supply consisted of about 35 percent English breed and English crosses; 35
percent Exotic breed and exotic crosses; 30 percent Brahma and Brahma crosses;
and 0 percent Holsteins and other dairy breeds. Feeder supply about 55 percent
steers and bulls withy 45 percent heifers. Prices follow with weighted average
price in parenthesis.
