Compared to last week: Slaughter cows were 3.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter bulls
were 3.00 higher. Feeder steers were steady to 6.00 higher. Feeder heifers
under 550 lbs were 3.00 higher, over 550 lbs 3.00 lower.
Supply included 613 feeder calves; 400 feeder yearlings; 50 replacement
cows; 139 slaughter cows; 15 slaughter bulls; and 0 replacement bulls. Feeder
supply consisted of about 45 percent English breed and English crosses; 30
percent Exotic breed and Exotic crosses; 30 percent Brahma and Brahma crosses;
and 0 percent Holsteins and other diary breeds. Feeder supply about 55 percent
steers and bulls with 45 percent heifers. Prices follow with weighted average
price in parenthesis.
